Keanu Reeves Was Desperate To Protect His Girlfriend From A Relentless Stalker Claiming To Be His Relative

Keanu Reeves took drastic measures to protect his girlfriend from a relentless stalker who'd been harassing him for months.

With a slew of award-winning blockbusters under his belt, a multi-million-dollar net worth, a wildly successful relationship, and a reputation for being the nicest guy in Hollywood, Keanu Reeves seems to have it all! However, there’s one pesky, not-so little-problem that can’t seem to stop rearing its ugly head; stalkers.

Reeves, who landed his breakout on the 1989 sci-fi comedy, Bill & Tedd’s Excellent Adventure, has had numerous unsettling encounters with crazed fans, who almost always have delusions of having a personal connection to the star. Earlier this year, the John Wick star and his years-long girlfriend, Alexandra Grant found themselves fending off a rather relentless stalker determined to prove he’s Reeves’ long-lost blood relative. Desperate to protect himself and his girlfriend, Reeves took some drastic measures to keep the alleged stalker at bay. Here’s how he dealt with the harrowing ordeal.

John Wick star Keanu Reeves has been basking in the spotlight since the 1980s when he landed his breakout role in the 1989 sci-fi comedy, Bill & Tedd’s Excellent Adventure. With a litany of box office hits, including John Wick, The Matrix, Constantine, and The Day the Earth Stood Still, under his belt, the now 58-year-old is living the dream.

Tragically, his undeniable success has come at a steep price. Widely considered the nicest guy in Hollywood, Reeves has had to fend off multiple obsessed fans over the years. His most recent; 38-year-old Bryan Keith Dixon, who’s apparently been harassing the John Wick star and his girlfriend, Alexandra Grant for months in a desperate and deluded attempt to prove that he’s Reeves’ long-lost blood relative.

According to legal documents obtained by TMZ in February, the alleged stalker had broken into the Constantine star’s $5.6 million California home at least six times as of January, and kept finding creative ways to re-enter the property despite being kicked out each time.

According to TMZ, Dixon first broke into the Constantine star's home in November 2022, sneaking through a side gate, and dozing off in the backyard, before getting discovered and kicked out. Undeterred, he returned the very next day, bearing a suspicious backpack, which allegedly contained a sinister DNA testing kit, which he intended to use to obtain evidence of a blood connection to the John Wick star.

Like his on-screen personas, Keanu Reeves took drastic measures to keep the alleged stalker at bay. For starters, the John Wick star enlisted the expertise of a top-notch security company, whose first order of business was to delve into the notorious stalker’s shadowy past.

According to TMZ, the team unearthed a disturbing trail of incoherent and sinister social media posts dating back to August 2022. In the posts, Dixon bizarrely referred to himself as Jasper Keith Reeves, and admitted to having a twisted desire to sign over all his personal rights to Reeves and have the Hollywood mega-star placed in charge of him.

Delving deeper into Dixon's background, Reeves' security team unearthed a sordid criminal history spanning two decades. With a bench warrant from Rhode Island haunting him for a slew of alleged felonies, including breaking and entering, possessing burglary tools, and vandalism, it became chillingly apparent that Dixon's obsession with Keanu Reeves was more than just a passing fancy.

Reeves also got in touch with his legal team, who filed a petition for a temporary restraining order against Dixon. The restraining order, which was granted by the Los Angeles Superior Court in February, barred Dixon from coming within 100 yards of the John Wick star and his girlfriend, Alexandra Grant.

As an additional layer of protection, the John Wick star collaborated with the LAPD, who speedily launched an investigation against the notorious stalker. In addition, given the stalker’s extensive criminal history and deranged nature, Reeves was advised to file a civil harassment restraining order, as a temporary restraining order would only be valid for about a month.

Keanu Reeves’ recent stalker debacle might be concerning, but it's not the first time the John Wick star has had a run-in with an overzealous fan. Back in 2010, the John Wick star found himself embroiled in a rather embarrassing court battle with Karen Sala, a Canadian woman claiming to have had a relationship with him in the 80s.

Insisting that Reeves had fathered her four grown kids, Sala went ahead to demand an astronomical $2.8 million per month in spousal support, backdated to 2006, plus an extra $144,000/month in child support, retroactive to 1988. Though the preposterous suit crumbled like a house of cards once DNA tests were conducted, the drama didn’t end there. According to CBS News, Sala stubbornly clung to her delusions, going as far as accusing Reeves of manipulating the DNA results through hypnosis.

But the bizarre lawsuit wouldn’t be the last of Reeves run-ins with crazed fans. Fast-forward to 2014, and Reeves was seeking a restraining order against a 50-year-old woman who’d audaciously broken into his home, casually showered, and taken a dip in his pool.

The woman, whom authorities later identified as Kerry Colen Raus, was placed on immediate psychiatric hold in the aftermath of the incident, which, understandably, left Reeves fearful for his safety.

The bizarre incident came hot in the heels of reports of an altercation between Reeves and yet another intruder. This time, a woman in her mid-40s had somehow gained entry into the Constantine star’s home in the dead of night, and comfortably perched on his library chair.

Roused from sleep by strange noises coming from his library, the John Wick star calmly confronted her, only to be greeted with the surreal explanation that she was there to "meet him." Needless to say, the cops were quickly called in to handle the situation.
